Entertainment in the Middle Ages
What sorts of entertainment did they have in the middle ages? Well they had card games, jousts, town entertainers, festivals, hawking, be-heading, tournaments, town gathering, different board games and sports such as soccer and sword fighting.
Holidays and Festivals
There were many different types of holidays and festivals. lots of the villagers would play sports and have competitions in different sports. Holidays were a very big deal like they are today, almost all holidays were spent in the church to celebrate as a community. Lots of the festivals were taken place in the town square, were the town gathered to participate.
The Entertainers
There were many entertainers trying to make a living on the street, such as jokers ( a fool ) there were street singers, And dance performers at festivals or on the street. These people usually carried some kind of hat or or bucket that they put in front of them to collect money. They tried making a living out of doing this at that time this was a very popular thing to do if you want to make some money.
